Welcome November! Diffuser blends and journal prompts for a cozy, calm and focused month…

Ahhhhh November.

Yah or nay??? Love it or dislike it strongly? Thrive or prefer to skip it?

Me? I’m a fan, lol.

It’s actually my birth month, (celebrating 49 years around the sun this year), so I always look forward to a little extra loving on my day, (or simply the fact I don’t have to cook).

November is an interesting month…a time where we’ve made the full shift into the cold months. No big holidays or fun celebrations. Greyer skies. Trees have lost all their leaves and the snow falls on many days of this month.

There are also many things to love about November.

Personally this year, I’m craving space to breathe, along with enjoying more calm, simple, anxiety free days.

The days in November have the potential to be times of reflection. Dark, quiet mornings. Journaling. Slower, gentler yoga practices. Walks in the light of the moon. Clearing of physical and digital clutter. Setting intentions as the year ends and a new one begins. Moments of self care.

If you were to choose a word for November, a way you would like to feel this month, what would it be? My word would be…

Calm

If you have a pen and paper handy, or maybe even go to your notes in your phone write/type down your word.

Keep it handy to look at this month, or even make a wallpaper on your phone and set it as your screen saver. You could also write it when you journal each morning, practice gratitude or write your affirmation of the day).

This is setting your intention each day. But the work comes in when we set up our days to feel this way in the evenings.

What are we NOT skipping? What simple tasks are we keeping up so that we feel this way at night?

Our main goal is to keep up our simplest, easiest, most natural healthy habit(s) all November, (and then into December).

A few Ideas:

  • A 15 minute, non-negotiable walk, (bundle up if it’s cold).

  • 2-5 minute meditation, (if you feel you have no time, this is when you need this the most).

  • Herbal tea in the afternoon with no distractions.

  • Taking our supplements, (to keep track, add them to a pill box organizer).

  • Drinking enough water throughout the day.

  • Keeping up our morning routine.

  • Reading a book or magazine before bed instead of scrolling on the phone.

  • 3 things of gratitude in the am and pm.

  • Journal 4-5 minutes a day, (November Journal Prompts to print).

  • Set your diffuser every single morning with aromas that are calming.

  • And more, (refer back to my last blog if you need more ideas) :) xo

My message today is for you to do what really feels good this month. I know there will be a lot on our plates, but let’s try our best.

Because we’re inside more, there tends to be more focus on our surroundings and the feelings our homes evoke.

So, it’s only natural to dive a little deeper into aromas and the power aromatherapy has in our homes, on our moods, our sleep, and our overall wellness. Specifically aromatic delivery, (eg. diffusing).

If simply diving into your oils for a little extra healthy aromatherapy is on your list, I created some wonderful diffuser blends for you:

  1. Black on white, easy print page, (pdf)

  2. November Diffuser Blends, (png)

  3. Or simply save the images below, (there are 14 blends).

For you journal lovers, don’t forget to print your 30 journal prompts for November, (1 a day).
