Ok…so it’s been a beautiful Summer here in Northern Alberta, and I don’t wish it to be over, but I can’t help but be excited to get back to what I love doing…

Running challenges to create healthier habits! And what better way to get a jump start on Fall but by starting off on the right foot by creating our own morning routines together.

Why be an earlier riser and create a morning routine?

A solid, consistent morning routine can offer us a time to practice intentional mindfulness and/or prayer, leading to feelings of greater peace as we go through our day. Feeling productive in our day can lead to a more peaceful evening and, in turn, a better night's sleep and a refreshed morning the next day.

A few, really awesome benefits to rising 30-40 minutes earlier than anyone else in your household:

  • We are able to better focus during the day because we’ve set a clear list of priorities.

  • Productivity. The morning routine helps us set the tone for the day.

  • Lowers your stress after a simple breathing/mindfulness practice.

  • Works on building life long healthy habits, (after working on a habit for 21 days, it becomes a habit and then if it’s something you love and keep the habit for 90 days, it will be tough to break).

  • Boosts your energy levels, (especially after meditation/breathing and a 5-10 minute stretch/yoga practice).

  • Improves your relationships, (because you’ve already had time to yourself, you tend to be more present and active with your friends, family members, and co-workers).

  • Combats forgetfulness. (when you have the same routine every day, it’s much more unlikely you’ll forget something).

  • Improves your confidence. (when you’re calm and collected, you naturally feel more confident).

  3. Additional essential oil recipe pdf’s to enhance your mornings and energize you for the day.

  4. Daily emails with a fun, positive quote and affirmations to choose from (I always need extra ideas when it comes to affirmations).

  5. A hashtag to share, (if you wish and are on social media), how your morning went and how you feel.
